PERSONAL BACKGROUND
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and am delighted when my three daughters and their families visit us at our home in New Jersey. My hobbies include gardening, bird watching, interior design, yoga, and walking my Jack Russell Terrier, Dash. I love all animals and I am always on the lookout to aid in the rescue of injured wildlife.
I have always been an avid reader. Between my professional experience and my independent learning, I developed a set of tools and simplified life philosophies from reading and summarizing information from some of the most respected experts in the areas of financial management, leadership, spirituality, health and fitness, and personal improvement.
My hope is that these tools will take the mystery and some of the anxiety out of day-to-day life management and making “big” life decisions. My approach was to keep the tools simple so that they don’t make these decisions any more complicated than they need to be!
Professional Background
I have over 30 years of business operations experience in the areas of finance, human resources, facilities management, and quality management systems in both large and small companies. My specialty is setting up the office and business operations for technology start-ups. I have a BS in Business Administration and an MBA. I make order out of chaos, put structure where there is none, and make well run operations even better.
I spent the early years of my career working my way up the ranks in business administration at Bell Laboratories. This is where I learned the fine art of creating one-page executive summaries from large quantities of information on a wide variety of business topics. This was also where I discovered decision matrixes to assist with documenting and improving decision making.
